I offer single wheel throwing sessions. In this 90 minute session, participants will try the basics of throwing clay, centering, opening, pulling and shaping. Each class starts with demonstrations and throwing techniques. Participants will throw 2-4 pieces. This class does not include instructions on trimming or finishing pieces. I will trim, fire, and glaze your piece for you. All materials provided.
$40 per participant (class limit 5 people). Dates not yet determined for 2023.
Pottery classes are for those wanting more than one time and a desire to try hand building, wheel throwing, decorating and glazing finished pieces. These classes are for all abilities. Beginners will start with hand building and move onto wheel throwing. Advanced participants will work on more advanced techniques. Class meets once per week for 4 consecutive weeks. All materials are included. Clothes and shoes will get messy. While I do everything I can to ensure success, sometimes clay doesn't cooperate in the kiln - if your work comes out cracked or broken, I can not offer you a refund or re-build your piece. Generally, participants finish the 4 weeks with 4-6 completed pieces.
Dates not yet determined for 2023.
Pottery Projects are perfect for those who want to try out hand building or glazing without committing to a series of sessions. Each project will focus on making one specific piece. Each project is 60-90 minutes of hands on activity. I offer both projects for kids and adults.
Cost includes all materials. While I do everything I can to ensure success, sometimes clay doesn't cooperate in the kiln - if your work comes out cracked or broken, I can not offer you a refund or re-build your piece. Contact me for information on scheduling a project at your location!
Art is not a club. It is meant to be looked at, participated in and enjoyed by everyone. With the intent of spreading art I partner with the community for amazing opportunities to showcase and sell pottery. You can find my work at the following locations. I am not currently scheduled for any events in 2023 but will update when that changes! Find most current details on facebook.

In June 2021 I was selected as one of 12 Oklahoma artists for a THRIVE Grant from the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition. The grant is intended to offer opportunity to artists and ensure creative communities throughout the state. My project, Faces of Our Community will be two-fold; to expose people of all ages to clay as they create a ‘self-portrait’ as well as provide an art gallery style experience for our rural community. The self-portrait clay sessions will be scheduled monthly over the course of 6 months. All members of our community, with little or no clay experience will be encouraged to attend and try. A variety of clay bodies, glazes, tools, and instruction will be provided at each session so that participants will create a piece that resembles themselves. In the spring of 2022, Faces of Our Community will conclude in an exhibition of self-portraits created entirely by the public for the public. Every self-portrait will be displayed as a gallery event in Cashion on Main Street for an evening affair. This body of work will be a visual representation of our community of farmers, teachers, professionals, and children. An opportunity to see what they created, in their likeness displayed in an exhibition. Details of the final exhibit will be coming soon!
